Perform Checks For Soft Signs of Deterioration

Are there signs of any of the following:

  • Increasing breathlessness / chestiness
  • Change in usual drinking / eating pattern
  • Shivery fever Information
  • Needing more support than usual to move / less coordinated / new muscle pains
  • Extreme tiredness or dizziness
  • Can't urinate or change in colour of urine
  • Diarrhoea or vomiting
  • Unusual behaviour for resident
  • Any concerns from resident / family / carers that person is not as well as normal

REMEMBER: If there is a cluster of falls within a week this can indicate an acute illness so seek medical advice.
